Brush Collection is May 4th & 5th.
Residents must call the Township Office prior to 12 NOON on Thursday, April 30th to schedule their pickup.
Collection Guidelines
· Brush must be piled with the ends of limbs laying in the same direction, preferably pointing toward the road.
· Mixed or tangled piles will not be picked up.
· Maximum diameter of limbs is 6 inches.
· Do not tie brush in bundles.
· Crews will spend no more than 15 minutes at one property.
· Equipment limitations require that brush must be separated from leaves and other debris. Leaf collection is not an available service.
Stumps, old firewood, garden plants, ornamental grasses, and construction material will not be picked up.
Bulk Waste Collection – May 7th for Seniors & Disabled residents, May 8th & 9th for drop off at Township building
Potter Township will offer its spring Bulk Waste Collection on Friday, May 8th, 7AM – 3PM & Saturday, May 9th, 7AM – 12 NOON. Items will be accepted at the township maintenance building only on these dates.
GUIDELINES AND LIMITS
ONLY the following items will be accepted:
· Metal items
· Appliances
· Large furniture
· Electronics: Computers, TV’s, printers
· Tires-(limited to 6) passenger size only, and must be removed from rims. Tires from your property only.
This collection is NOT for residents outside of Potter Township.
The Township will provide riff raff collection for senior citizens 65 or older & physically disabled residents on Thursday, May 7th. Requests for this special collection require pre-registration. To register, contact the township office no later than 5 p.m. on MONDAY, MAY 4th by calling (814) 364-9176, ext. 103. Remember to place all items at the edge of your property next to road by 7:00 a.m. on collection day. Keep in mind that there are only 2 workers per collection vehicle during this special collection. Items that cannot safely be lifted by 2 workers WILL NOT BE COLLECTED.
